FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How well in advance can I book my party?
Some months book quicker than others. Summer months such as June and July (before the children break up), September (when the children start back at school) and December are all very busy times and book up to a year in advance. There is no hard rule but the quicker you let us know the more likely you are to get the time and date you really wanted.

Which party should I choose?
The type of party you choose will depend on the age of the children you have coming, the number and also the venue you want to book. Bear in mind that with inflatable parties the restrictions on numbers are there for safety reasons and quite often numbers can creep up on your party day, which could spell disaster if you have booked a small bouncy castle with the party. We are here to help so please ask if you aren’t sure.

We’re having a joint party is this ok?
Great idea! Not a problem. it’s a good idea to put one mum or dad in charge of entertainment and then we just have one person to liaise with on details. Remember to liaise with each other on numbers attending as this is important if you are booking an inflatable party.

How many children can I invite?
Check the party package information for full details. Large groups are not advisable for certain inflatable parties.

Are you an agency for entertainers – who will I get to entertain?
No, we aren’t an agent so all of our equipment is owned and maintained by ourselves and the entertainer you book is Jason Ramsay. So if you’ve been to a Shuffles party - the entertainer you saw is the one you book.

Is your entertainer CRB checked?
Yes, including face painters and anyone else that we would recommend within our parties – Please ask to see full documents.
                                                                                                                        
How does he remember all the children’s names?
(If only I had a pound for every time I got asked this question!) Joking aside, the children respond so much better to an entertainer who remembers their names and this is why Jason has perfected the art of name remembering at the parties.  One less job for you as you don’t need to provide name labels.
His ability to remember not only every childs name after one introduction, but also who they came with, means he has exceptional control and a great relationship with the children. Can I have a party at home?
Absolutely! Just be realistic about the space you have available and when filled with children and mums, siblings, prams etc. will it still be big enough?

How much space do I need for the party?
Space required at each party varies. Please check the dimensions carefully before booking your venue, and don’t forget to check the ceiling height at the lowest point if booking an inflatable, i.e. Take into consideration low hanging light fittings, beams and other fittings that may restrict safe use. You will need to allow a minimum of 4 feet (1.2m) around the inflatable for access and safety.
 
Access to the venue must be easy and free of obstruction on the day of your party. Please mention anything that may impact on set up time so that we can work around it.

What if I decide to cancel?
Cancellations for parties will incur the following charges - unless we are able to refill the booking slot:
                        24hrs notice – 100% of the booking value
                        Less than 1 weeks notice - 80% of the booking value
                        Within 1 months notice – 50% of the booking value
 Any deposits paid are non-refundable.  

My venue requires PAT certificates and public liability documents
All documents are available on request, including risk assessments, these can be sent to your venue beforehand if required.

Do you carry public liability insurance?
Shuffles Entertainment has £5million public liability insurance for the inflatable and as entertainers, so you can rest assured you are in good hands.

When is payment due and what methods do you accept?
We do not accept credit card payments. Cheque payments need to be received in sufficient time for funds to clear before the party date, otherwise payment can be made in cash on the day of your event.  

Is VAT applicable or included in the prices?
Being a small business VAT is not applicable so the prices on the list are what you pay.

Do you give discounts to charity?
Generally no, we work closely with several local charities on a regular basis. As you will appreciate we are a small family business and can not give our services away for free.

How do I book?
You can telephone 07710 626226 or email info@shuffles.net with your contact telephone number and we’ll contact you directly. We will need to get information from you to book the

  • Type of event?
  • Number of guests and ages of children?
  • Venue and location?
  • Start time and end time for event and also what time you have access to the venue?
  • Your contact details?

If you are a new customer you may be asked to provide some form of I.D. (Passport or driving licence on delivery).
